Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how ArcaneStat ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile-first companion application for the video game Deadlock.

The App is operated by Noah Contreras as an independent project. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you create an account and use the App, we collect:

Email address (used for account authentication)
Display name (chosen by you)
Profile photo URL (if provided through your sign-in method)
Steam Account ID (provided by you to fetch your public match history)
Player preferences: your selected player type, experience level, goals, role preference, and time commitment
Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

We do not collect your real name (beyond what you choose as a display name)
We do not collect phone numbers, home addresses, or other contact information beyond your email
We do not collect payment information (the App is currently free)
We do not collect precise location data
We do not use advertising trackers or analytics pixels
Match Data
Match data shown in the App (kills, deaths, assists, hero usage, etc.) is fetched on-demand from the public deadlock-api.com service using your Steam Account ID. We do not store this match data on our servers; it is retrieved fresh each time you open the App.

Authentication Data
Account authentication is handled through Google Firebase Authentication. Your password (if you use email/password sign-in) is never visible to us. Firebase stores authentication data on Google's secure infrastructure.

How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

Provide the core functionality of the App (showing your stats and personalized coaching tips)
Authenticate you when you sign in
Personalize your experience based on your stated preferences (player type, goals, etc.)
Communicate with you about important changes to the service (rare, only when necessary)
We do not:

Sell your information to third parties
Share your information with advertisers
Use your data for purposes unrelated to operating the App
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services that may receive limited information:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore Database, Hosting): Used to manage accounts and store your preferences. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
deadlock-api.com: Used to fetch your public Deadlock match data. We send only your Steam Account ID. See their terms at deadlock-api.com.
Data Retention
We retain your account information and preferences as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your stored personal information (email, display name, Steam ID, preferences) within 30 days. Note that backup systems may retain data for an additional period before being purged.

Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction: You can update most of your information directly in the App's Profile section
Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data
Data Portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format

Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including:

Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit
Secure password hashing through Firebase Authentication (we never see your password)
Access controls on our Firestore database limiting reads and writes to authenticated users
No system is perfectly secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
